#261 'Black Mountain' Trail Saddle by Tucker Saddlery
'Ultimate Trail Comfort'
If you expect comfort on the trail, a Tucker Saddle is the answer. Tucker designers and engineers are continuously improving product design and quality. They are constantly researching saddle fit and the needs of the horse. They know that 'one size fits all' does not apply to saddles, so they offer seven (7) different tree fits for the comfort of your horse. Trees are designed to be both durable and lighweight, and trees are reinforced at stress points. Their DURAhide tree covering is more reliable than traditional rawhide in keeping the elements out, which keeps the tree from warping over time. Tucker trees are made by Precision Saddle Tree Company, a comany which is known for the quality and durability of their products. Stainless steel or brass hardware are used to resist rust and corrosion. The leather used is selected for durability and suppleness. Natural range marks enhance the beautiful, rich appearance of the top-grain leather used by Tucker. Wool-felt is used for skirt lining as it naturally absorbs shock and wicks away moisture, and protects the saddle from moisture for years and years. All of the Tucker products are field tested by riders who spend hours at a time in the saddle! Their philosophy is to disregard tradition anytime the end product can be improved. Their CAD laser leather cutting machine sets them apart from the competition, allowing each saddle to fit together precisely. Tucker's continuous improvements and the combination of technology and hand crafting allows them to make their products stronger, and better and as a result they can pass on the added value to you the 'trail rider.'
This 'Black Mountain' Trail saddle features the cu-out skirt design that allows the rider close contact for exact cueing. Also, the adjustable position cloce contact rigging allows one to rig the saddle to best fit the horse and also eliminates bulk under the riders leg. The EgroBalance stirrups position the foot flat in the stirrup for decreased knee and ankle fatigue, and at the same time, promots balanced riding. The 5" cantle and the wide swell gives riders a feeling of security while the Tucker patented Gel-Cush Shock Absorbing seat gives the rider hours at-a-time Ultimate Trail Comfort. This saddle is available in the FB trees, for the flatter barrel, or slab sided, conformation typical in gaited horses --FB Medium or FB Wide; and it is also available in the X-extra-Wide Tree, for drafts, draft crosses, or extremely wide foundation type horses. Old Ace says, "Don't know about any Black Mountain but can tell you a lot about "Black Canyon"! Rough country, lots of brush and small pines and oaks; My Uncle shot a deer right in the bottom in lots of brush; he got off his horse and snaked thru the brush till he got to the deer; when he went to bleed it the deer came to life and the fight was on; the buck deer like to got the best of him; ripped his pants right off of him with his horns and gave him several gashes that bled like a river; finally killed the buck (he had only his knife; left the gun with the horse) and tore up his shirt to wrap the legs and wounds and stopped the bleeding; after resting awhile (he was alone) he drug the deer to the horse and tied it on and rode out of there" and then he added," think you can get the moral of that story!" (that was uncle Lloyd, tough as nails; he's the one that roped a buck when we jumped him out of a river onto flat ground; went and got a trailer and loaded him alive and took him home.).
